Learning Styles in the Workplace
This ½ day program creates an awareness of how we learn as individuals. Once we recognise and cater to the preferred learning styles of others, the task of supervising, training or managing becomes far more effective and productive.
The session is designed for supervisors, managers, mentors and staff trainers and includes discussion, activities and reflections related to:
• Understanding how the brain
works – how do we think?
• What are the broad categories of learning styles?
• How do we assess ‘style’?
• Adult learners - are they different?
• Communication – enhancing employer/employee
relationship through self-directed learning
• Scenarios – “How do I get my message
through?”
• Productivity – does understanding ‘style’
increase productivity and job satisfaction?
