Learning - with 'Style'
This workshop, designed for K – 6 staff, targets beginning teachers who require professional development accreditation – or experienced staff who would like to learn more about ‘learning styles’. Content of the workshop can be tailored to suit the needs of your school and can run from a 90 minute session to a half-day session.
The workshop meets a number of elements of the NSW Teachers Professional Teaching Standards and includes discussion, activities and reflections related to:
• Left brain/right brain teaching and learning
strategies
• Learning ‘style’ – what does
it mean?
• Identifying student learning styles
• Do we teach the way we learn?
• Does ‘style’ in the classroom
matter?
• Tips to engage all learners
• Practical teaching ideas to cater to all styles
