Parent Workshop
Starting 'big school' is a 'big deal' - ask any parent!
Excitement, anticipation and a touch of anxiety are all commonly felt emotions as the first day of school draws closer.
- Is my child ready for school?
- How will they cope?
- Will they make friends?
- What can I do to help?
These are common questions and ALL are addressed in a 60 minute workshop for parents. We talk about:
- How to prepare your child for school
- How to get through those first few days and weeks
- How to stay positive - and keep them positive too!
- How to be involved
- How to communicate with your child and your new school
Parents are provided with a handbook of tips and ideas to assist in the preparation for 'big school'. The workshop can be conducted through your pre-school, as part of our PATH Service or by other arrangement with High Hopes Educational Services.
